When my shih tzu got too big (6 1/2 lbs) to safely ride in my lap, I started looking for a car seat that would be safe and at the same time allow him to look out the windows. This one was perfect! It's big enough for him to curl up and nap in and tall enough for him to see out. I highly recommend it!!
