These dog seats are sturdy and allow my dog to see outside so she's not glued to my lap while I drive. It is both a safety feature for me and my dog. I highly recommend this car seat (despite being the [...] of jokes from friends who think I pamper my dog too much). If you have a small dog and you take him/her along with you wherever you go in the car, this is a MUST HAVE.
