(More customer reviews)We have a Jeep Wrangler with the Freedom top, so we wanted one of these to store the two front panels in while driving around ... it's too easy to scratch the paint off them, if they're loose and able to rub against each other or other hard surfaces.
The Amazon product description states that the shipping weight is 45 pounds. While they also describe this bag as "heavyweight" it isn't THAT heavy! According to the shipping carton, gross weight (i.e., including the carton) is 4.4kg, or about 9.7 pounds.
The price is right on Amazon (about $68), but the shipping from the fulfiller (JW Custom Accessories) is a whopping $49+! The shipping carton is not that large (about 1' x 1' by 3'), and since it weighs less than 10 pounds, this shipping charge seems very excessive.
You can order this storage bag (as I did) from one of the Jeep accessory places like 4 Wheel Parts / 4 Wheel Drive Hardware, and either pick it up at your local store, or have them ship it to you for free. You may have to pay sales tax, but that'll be far less than 72% of the purchase price! Besides, processing from JW Custom Accessories takes "an EXTRA 2 to 3 days." I ordered mine on a Saturday, and it was available to pick up on the following Tuesday (3 days from date of order).
